Things were going just fine, for once. Until everything fell apart.
She had three cervines in her view, managing to stray hidden through the thickness of the foliage. But then, she had caught sight of movement somewhere on the side. Another feline, hiding like her.
Hell no, she wasn’t saying goodbye to another catch for the sake of someone else. Forgetting any restraint, Rhifel let out a roar and jumped from her hiding place. She landed heavily in front of the other feline, a white one she had never seen or smelled before. She went to strike but a grip caught her arm and she felt herself being pushed away with a strength she had not expected. Shit, that one was well fed.
With the panicked bleats of her former preys screeching under the green canopy and her own angry roars rolling against the one of her adversary, she caught sight of another movement behind the white lion. There was two of them…
She felt her heart sink, her anger replaced with a mix of frustration and sourness. There was no way she could fight two of them… Even less if they were both well fed.
She felt another push against her chest and soon found herself standing straight up. Rhifel hissed furiously, pulling to get her arm free.
