Quite the contrary my friend, this was a Critical Hit, from one of only 2 Electrode in the whole place as opposed to the weaker Voltorb, and was Explosion rather than Selfdestruct, this was literally the WORST luck I coulda had with this. It's just that those moves use physical attack, and Electrode's physical attack is worse than Pikachu's
