It makes me so happy to see Fraggle art... I love Fraggles, and have felt like they've been under-appreciated, but when I started looking I found amazing artists like you! Keep at it, these are all just wonderful

Pardon me for saying, but I cant help but see a significant bit of Calvin in this fellow. I dont know if its the shirt, hair, or tongue, as but all I can think about is how closely young TM resembles Calvin. It might be a streach, but I would argue for some character similarities here and there.
Whatever the case, another very cool work.

Now we just need to think of one of them that would be Hobbes-esque

Mokey's got the build, Gobo (NOT Uncle Gobo) a bit of the personality
But they're not really of the same generation...! This'd be tough!

Oh, sweet! More art of lesser-known--well, at this age, anyway--but deserving characters.
I agree, the tail-wagging was cute, and the out-of-control enthusiasm added to his character. (My OC Poncle inherited that. Boober sometimes picks her up and uses that tail to dust. Not around breakables, though.)
I feel a bit sorry for Young Matt. His Uncle Gobo treated him pretty badly. Exasperation I can understand, but he was just plain nasty. It's a good thing that he has a much better relationship with Nephew Gobo, although that is not without its ups and downs too.

Heh, I did draw Boober dusting with Poncle. It's in one of my doodle dumps, I think around last August or September. IIRC, it's in the same doodle dump as "Doozer Opera." Feel free to take the idea and run with it if the spirit moves you, with or without that sketch.
The way Uncle Gobo treated Matt hit a very sour note with me. If he was long-suffering, wishing he could get away from the annoying kid but unable to, that would have been one thing. However, he was just vicious, and it made Matt's attempts to earn his attention and affection pathetic, not funny. Matt is a buffoon, but he does have feelings. Listen to the song I Don't Understand Him at All--that song has me in tears every time I hear it.
I really like Gobo and Matt's relationship. At first Gobo remembered Matt as a brave explorer because when Matt left Gobo was young enough not to see all the flaws. Later, Gobo was older and he saw what Matt really is like, and for a while he couldn't handle the disappointment. But eventually Gobo camr to accept his uncle, flaws and all, and Matt came to accept that Gobo is growing up and couldn't be treated as a child any more. It's a wonderful character(s) arc.

In a fic I wrote a scene in which Gobo and Matt were exploring Outer Space and happened upon "the cloth cave creatures." It was so much fun writing those two. I ought to do more with them.
