The Muse has returned!!!!
An old drawing I found in my sketchbook and decided to finish ^_^
Got a little carried away with the background for this one... eheheh heh >_>
Still, I think it looks FRIGGIN AWESOME
And now she's all finished!! Thank Buddha, maybe now I can get some sleep... x_xPeople who have been inspired to color this:

i think it looks like marble.
it kind of creates a complimentary mood, between visual arts and sculpture.
it plays tricks with the mind and creates a 3rd dimention to a 2 dimentional image.

Oh yes, it does look awesome - both the angel and the background. But they also look separate, pasted together. To lessen that feel, I'd focus on the lighting (decide on a light source and base shading and dark-light-shadow elements from that for both the background and the figure). Right now, the side of her wing is illuminated, and so is her front, so either there are two light sources, or something's off. And as a casual viewer, I'm inclined to think it's the latter. (btw, the wing = awesomeness).

You're right, she does look superimposed, however the lighting was supposed to be very bright but at the same time very non-directional/diffuse, as if the primary source (the one above and in front of her) is reflecting off of everything around her. I think the real problem is that I didn't have lighting reference, and had to guess on a lot of it.
Hopefully though, with the dress shaded and the shadows tweaked a bit more, it reads a bit more clearly now ^_^'
