Description Name: Bloopy
Born: Probably around the time you call 1984 on Earth. Long enough ago to have travelled here from his distant planet.
Gender: Male

Bloopy's notable features are his alien antennae and his light blue colour. Bloopy the worm can be thought of as a projection of Bloopy into the Worms universe. Bloopy hails from the turquoise-coloured Planet Bloopy in the Bloopy solar system, where they write with the Bloopy alphabet, and... well you get the idea. Planet Bloopy is home to all manner of strange creatures that make Bloopy look remarkably ordinary, such as a blue banana-shaped dog, a one-eyed pear-shaped man, a camel with 7 humps, and a boy made entirely out of circles. Just a little further out orbits a similar planet called Planet Bloop. It could be mistaken for a distorted reflection, but if you take a closer look you'll notice that everything there is slightly different, as if it was the same cartoon drawn by a different person's hand. The 3rd and final planet in the solar system is the tiny outlying Planet Zeebo. It just might be where you'll find Bloopy's arch nemesis, holed up in an ice fortress.

Weapon of Choice: The red button.

Personality: Bloopy is usually relaxed, which might explain why he's great at procrastinating. He has a cynical sense of humour, often feeling that the only appropriate action is to take a step back and laugh at the universe. Despite being cautious of others, Bloopy is honest, kind and gentle. Except when he needs to press that red button.

Likes: Sugar, bread, programming, physics and just generally understanding more about the universe.

Dislikes: Salt, onions, economics, making mistakes, and the stress of the turn timer beeping away the last 5 seconds.

Catchphrases:
"The universe is much bigger than you."
"You can't hold your head high and watch who you're stepping on at the same time."

Now there's something I haven't seen in a very long time, haha.

Drawing worms is something I never really found time for back in the day, but it's never too late to start! I drew this one for a thread which popped up on the Dream17 forum after the T17 forum went down. Now I have a slight itch to draw other things too.

I've been out of the loop but have T17 done a decent 2D worms game lately? I saw that sheep *coughlemmingscough* game the other day but it didn't really appeal to me.

I think the Worms games are all similar these days... hard to look at, slow, clunky and awkward. Except maybe Worms Crazy Golf. I could see myself playing Flockers, but part of me would wonder what the point is. I need to think of Team17 as an ex-girlfriend and just let her go.

I definitely think 'clunky' is the operative word there, all the finesse was lost after WWP. I've not played WWP or WA in ages but it has a special place in my heart, like the partial genesis of my childhood, haha.
