No, not El Cid, it's my Cid. He's Shura and Drea's eldest son, and I actually had him named before El Cid showed up in LC. I've been wanting to draw a proper picture of him for a long time, so here it is. The 'Ara Version' tag is there because when I RP with him, he sometimes wears a different Cloth depending on the universe he's in. >> I think he turned out prettier than I meant him to be.

Anyway, this started out a sketch for myself. I was frustrated with another drawing I was doing, and feeling drained from writing non-stop for NaNo, so I decided to do this. It started off as a head shot, then I added the Cloth, and then I decided 'hey, why not color it?' I tried using a new technique on his skin, and I used the same sort of new technique I first tried with Drea on his hair. I semi-like the way it looks, but I feel I could refine it more next time.

Originally I wasn't going to have a background at all, but it felt unfinished without one. I threw this background together in two hours, so that's why the bookcase isn't as pretty as the one I did in Unrelenting Nightmare. There' s probably some perspective problems too, but it wasn't meant to be very serious.

I'm not sure about how the coloring on the Cloth came out. It feels flat to me. Also, the perspective on the Cloth was hard to get.
