Description A dress idea pitched to , or as many YouTube users may know her, the lovely lady who climbed up Mt. Rainier in a ballgown.  Alas, you can still find another talented artist's rendition here: www.deviantart.com/art/Commiss…

This is more ideal for wearing and taking photos by a lake, however, as this design was based off an old fable of a beautiful young woman who ran away from her father and drowned herself in a lake. Somehow she never died but she turned into a loon. XDD

So yes, this dress has ruffles on the veil, blouse, and parts of the skirt to resemble a bird's feathers. Actual feathers can be used if preferred but black tulle can be just as effective. Basic skirt should be velvet for a rich smooth appearance, and the sleeves of the blouse should be puffed and transparent.

I didn't include earrings because I have no idea how to draw them, btw. XDD

wore a hooped crinoline under her Mt. Rainier gown, so it should work just as well under this one too if sewn. Good luck... XDD

Yup.  Hey have you noticed I changed my profile pic?  Trying to keep my identity concealed after some guy used my dA pic and uploaded to FB, messaging me afterward.  I'm sure he's not dangerous, psychologically, but he means to hack into my personal info as well.  I'll still be uploading art pics but no profile pics so I'll still be ok.

I did notice! That I got really confused because your icon changed, and then I saw the message. xD Oooh, that sounds rough. Lots of crazy people on the internet. That's a smart move though, changing your information. I tend to give as little information relevant to my real life as much as I can on the internet. xD Glad to see that you're okay though!

Yeah, things seem to have died down though, because after I blocked that asshole and reported the stolen image his Facebook page somehow had my photo removed. XDDD

Anyway I'm going to continue searching for inspiration for those hooped dresses as well as their swishy physics.  I know that beautiful bonnets and hats existed in the hight of the romantic era (1850s and 60s) but there were also lovely bundled hairstyles and hair ribbons to complement.  And also some longer-sleeved dresses showed a very puffed-out appearance.

Finally there was a 70's Anna and the King TV show that wasn't very good, but in an episode where Anna teaches waltz to the King she lifts her skirt Cinderella style and it's all swirly underneath with hoops and petticoats and stuff, and you can very much admire her beautiful bright high-heeled boots. ^^
