Description
A new pterosaur from the Jehol ecosystem, Forfexopterus jeholensis. This average sized (around 1.2 meter wingspan) ctenochasmatid had quite the neck, and a jaw to match, which is how it got it's name. The long neck and head remind me of azhdarchids, and I'm wondering if it was like modern storks or a tiny azhdarchid, especially with those long needle-like teeth at the end of it's snout. As a note, the crest is entirely speculative, as the back of the skull is unknown.
