So, guess what game I've been playing way too much lately. ...No, not Shovel Knight, actually. (Now that I'm 17, my 3DS finally let me buy the M-rated Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies, so I've been replaying the entire series since then.) But I WAS playing Shovel Knight way too much a couple months ago, which resulted in me coming up with a ton of concepts for knights. This guy is the only one I'm still drawing sort of regularly, so I think it's a safe assumption that he's my favorite.
The "?" in the title is there because I'm not sure how much I'm actually going to do with this character, but I have given it some thought. I imagine his stage would be a crashed UFO featuring strange technology and reversed gravity areas, and his Relic would be something that allows you to jump higher or longer. During battle, he'd fight by blasting across the screen and shooting laser pulses. (His weapon is a hand-mounted ray gun on his left hand, which isn't very visible in this picture.) Anyway, maybe I'll put up more about Rocket Knight sometime, but for now, enjoy this illustration and accompanying Shovel Knight-style pixel art.
