With the FNaF movie in development hell for what feels like an eternity at this point, I thought it would be fun to make a quick Fan-made FNaF movie poster featuring Slasher William Afton, I’ve got a few more ideas for posters but I’ll get to those later.
I think out of all the characters that might appear in the film, William Afton is probably going to be the hardest to adapt because of his inconsistence character development, scattered and underdeveloped ideas and the many head cannons people have, it’s now impossible to please everyone when it comes to William’s characterisation, I know it’s probably tempting to take all elements and mash them together but I would advise against that because if you try please everyone, you’ll just end up pleasing nobody, does everything but master of none.
You probably want to know who I would cast as William since I am pretty sure everyone has their choices, well this is what I would do if I was casting for Slasher William Afton, I would hire 2 actors… one for the appearance and one for the voice…
The voice would be PJ Heywood
The appearance would be Tyler Mane
Since Slasher William is wearing a mask, his lines will need to be dubbed and this would be the perfect opportunity to bring PJ Heywood back to reprise his role, however he’s won’t sound exactly like William from the games or sound like Springtrap, instead it would be a middle ground, a mixture of the two tones, still having the calm tone William has but having the grit that Springtrap has.
I would choose Tyler Mane for the costume because Slasher William Afton is a tall character with a muscly body, Tyler Mane fits both of those traits as he used to be a wrestler and he's 6f 8in, if you don’t know who he is, Tyler isn’t a massive actor in Hollywood but he has done some worthwhile stuff like he’s played Sabertooth from the first X-Men film, Ajax from Troy and Michael Myers from Rob Zombie’s Halloween reboot (which is the reason why I would choose him).
Everyone will have their preferences so who would you like to play as William Afton and how would you portray him in the film?

Also Tyler Mane as the live action version while PJ Heywood voices him. Gonna say that sounds honestly cool. I found it cool when you first mentioned Tyler. Even though I'm not huge on Rob Zombie's take on the Halloween franchise. Yet I didn't mind Tyler as Michael when I think about it(Even though I'm mostly a fan of Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney). Choosing his appearance for William reminds me of when I used to imagine Purple Guy as a hulking beast(You can make jokes about that like imagine him in a Disney movie like Gaston) similar to the likes of Jason Voorhees before Scott decided to give him some characterization.
Again really awesome. I will admit William would probably be difficult. Considering the madness that the lore is with two universes(The books and novels), I appreciate the idea of Scott focusing on the first three games only. But I guess I'll say my preference. Despite I've tried so hard to cast a British actor. I've always keep choosing Ben Affleck because of some reasons. But again you're idea of combining Tyler and PJ is honestly great. Considering I adore PJ's voice acting and I always felt casting William was the most difficult when casting live action versions of FNAF characters.
