Wait--Milton noticed a different pattern. Bailey and Hanna's deaths were all bloody and violent, while Abigail was just pushed off a roof or something. That cat Morgan saw seemed black and either short-furred or hairless. At first I almost thought Lewis was hairless, but he just has thin/short fur. ..And his fur is dark.
Leo would never kill Abigail for obvious reasons, but did he kill Bailey and Hanna?
If so, I think Lewis killed Abigail, perhaps because Leo was going to leave him for her.

OMG, SAME!!! It would make complete sense! Leo always had a blank expression when he looked at Hanna and Mel. And Lewis had hints of sadness and maybe anger when he explained to Milton that Leo is moving to live with Abigail! That would all tie in!
