Description
I submitted this photo to a contest that my dad's workplace was having for interesting combinations of manmade structures and nature, and it ended up being accepted as one of the best. So this will be published in Varian's 2006 calendar.It is a photo of an abandoned hydroplant in the gorge right below where I go to school.

That is an outstanding peice. I want to add that place on my list of things to see before I die. Yes. I know it sounds silly, but I get a real kick out of things like that.

Heh, just come to Ithaca, NY in the winter - the entire city looks like this.
And I don't actually know what my dad's company makes... I know they make stuff that has to do with vacuum packaging, but semiconductors may also be on their list; not totally sure.

The reason I asked is because the company I work for has a few Varian80 implanters.

A Google search reveals that there are multiple companies with "Varian" in their name, so I'm not sure. Most likely your implanters would have been provided by VSEA (Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates), whereas my dad works for Varian, Inc. Not sure if they're related or not.
