Praying: Having to pray for majority of his life, Mackenzie finds great comfort in prayer and the solitude that accompanies it. He prays several times in a day.

Singing: When was he little, he has shown a talent for singing, so his parents would teach him hymns. He had gotten quite good over the years, and to this day, he still sings the same hymns his parents had taught him. If he isn't too busy with other things, he will occasionally helps with the choir at the church.

Mackenzie is a seemingly calm and friendly person with a gentle disposition. He can either be found right outside the church, looking over the scenery, or inside the church, praying. Always having a quaint smile on his face, many people look to him for a listening ear. He'll happily comply, as he loves to help people. Mackenzie spends a lot of his time and money in helping others as well. Besides hearing other people out, he also donates money to the less unfortunate. He will go out of his way to help those who are in need. While he is known for his kind deeds, he often has a hard time getting close to others. Part of it is his natural meek and aloof nature, as Mackenzie prefers solitude. He dislikes conflicts and confrontations, so approaching him sometimes can be difficult.

Mackenzie also has workaholic tendencies. Whether it is rereading the scriptures a hundred times, or doing chores for the church, he spends the majority of his days inside or outside the church. He sometimes helps preserve the church from the inside, but as a nature lover, he is usually seen outside tending the gardens. His workaholic tendencies can be part of his own stubbornness, as everything needs to be "just right." While he loves to relax underneath the trees, he cannot stand it when there is work to be done. While he is easy to locate, as he spends most of his time at the church, he is always doing something, in what he thinks is, productive.

In many instances, Mackenzie spends a lot of time helping others that he doesn't help himself. He doesn't ask for help when it is needed, as he is too stubborn and prideful to do so. He hates the idea of depending on someone, as he sees that it is ultimately his own problem that he has to deal with.

H I S T O R Y
Mackenzie grew up in a middle class family with religious parents. His parents always taught him the importance of prayer, peacefulness, and persistence. He studied religious scripture since he was little, as his parents enrolled him in weekend classes. Because of this his fascination for the gods and goddesses in Voleros began rather early.

His decision to become a priest happened when his older brother became deadly ill. His older brother wanted to become a priest himself, but he died before he could officially become one. During this time, Mackenzie was studying religious scriptures to become a historian. He decided to become a priest instead once he heard of his eldest brother’s death. He had become a priest because he wanted to carry on his brother’s wish of becoming a one, and to help and guide others in their time of need.

It was years later when he meets an unusual boy named Ambrose , who was found living in an abandon church. Mackenzie from then on, decided to help this boy and the aging church. With renewed motivation, Mackenzie took on the project with no hesitation.

Currently, he and a few other residents live peacefully in the, once abandon, but now thriving, church.

Likes to be called "Father Mackenzie".
He has the utmost respect for his eldest brother. As they were growing up, Mackenzie aspired to be a lot like him.
He has VERY messy handwriting. Not many people can read it.
He writes, via Postcards, to his family members frequently. Most of them can read his writing.
The tradition of 'Postcard Writing' started when Mackenzie's eldest brother would often mail him blank postcards so he would write him and the family back. During this time, Mackenzie was away from home and was studying to become a historian.
He is not very fond of staying indoors for too long.
He loves nature, as he can be found, most of the time, outside sitting under a tree.
His office inside the church is filled with books. Of course he never actually reads, or does anything productive in that office.
He prefers peace and quiet. While loud and jarring noises startle and scare him.
He drinks green tea everyday.
He gets embarrassed easily. Compliment him too much and... he shuts down.
