Description

A protype or concept for a hard hitter named the spoonbill due to the odd muzzle break meant to direct blast away from the pit crew. So basically an artillery piece now elevated in an armored mech unit with an added retractable brace to function as a stabilizer for the whole unit so tis best and only accurate when shot standing still. Due to weight issues from the giant cannon the armour can be considered lacking however it is meant to function as mobile artillery shooting from an elevated position often hidden amongst trees (note the pipe crosses on the lip below the turret meant adding camoflauge branches or whatever else) it is also best shot straight with the whole unit. When shooting straight the cannon may slide back against a recoil spring however when further degrees from 0 the more the legs will dip to compensate causing a greater bounce though it can be done but harder to maintain sights and reloads slower. Generall a crew of 4-5 though may operate with 3 or 2 if very desperate and ready to jump seats and multitask. It has an open top, a correcting arm below and left side of cockpit if fallen or rolled and a crane of multiple uses but mostly loading ammuntion.

Getting in and out can be a major pain hence it has a capability to kneel and distance between legs and chassis is appreciated beyond stabilizing, its legs are also low armour so in general it best until hit by anything anti armour. The rifle shown low left is an attempt at an inbetweener PDW so basically a large stocked pistol so less training is necessary for armoured and artillery crew (pistols are harder to train in and full sized rifles too large for carrying within armour plus annoying weight) its semi automatic with helical magazines of 9 plus 1 chambered of a large pistol calibre (similar to .357 magnum).

Another idea that i should do more conceptually than fleshed out since i havent figured out what world exatly they are to fit into though meant to follow a recently made mech of mine, Pencil and Clipstudio.
