I mean, if you wanted to buy something like this from an artist at professional industry rates, it'd cost several times as much, just saying~ The cost of art/designs on DA or TH or FA etc are criminally low compared, despite the talent involved. These prices are pretty bargain.
We're paying for a unique product, PlushPon's time, talent and adorable brand (on top of things like materials etc)~ These AB's are a small price to pay for all of that.
It's our money, and we get to spend it on whatever luxuries we please, when we please. And why assume everyone is in a financial pinch? If we were so hard up, we wouldn't be spending on luxuries like this. Then again, even if we WERE, that's OUR choice and no fault of the artist for charging fair prices.
Look, some people buy bags, some people buy figurines, some people buy custom designs and art; Neither is more crazy than the other; We know what we're buying, we're totally informed, there's no hoodwinking here ^o^)
it's unfortunate not everyone can afford some of the prices, yes (heck, i've seen designs go for upwards of $6000) but that's not the artists fault, nor the buyer "being crazy". But that's luxuries. and art is just that.

There are so many factors that go into selling artwork beyond just slapping it onto DA, including the fact that this could be the artist's only job.
