I think when Salad Fingers freaked out after hearing another person talk, she asked "What is is Mr. Fingers? Do you not like my mouth-words?"
Every time Salad Fingers has a discussion with anyone, he's the only one making up the lines and pretending that others are talking. But he goes nuts if someone else actually says anything. At least that's what I got out of it.

1) The "mutant boy" is actually named Tony.
2) You left out the kid in the varsity jacket from episode two.

no, Kenneth was the corpse he found, saying it was his little brother
and yeah, they're finger puppets. But oddly they can move on their own a lot

I'm pretty sure the finger puppets just moved "on their own" because Salad Fingers imagined them moving. Remember, all of his interactions with "characters" is just him playing all the parts. He went absolutely nuts when the girl actually said something to him. Those weren't his words he was hearing, and he wasn't used to hearing anyone say anything that he didn't put into their mouths.
