you manage watercolour in a very aerial way (mmmh.. aerial ... birds ....). It's very soft and subtle, i like it....

this is so imaginative, i love the owl, i could see this in a fantasy childrens book, i used to love books with illustrations like this, its really quite magical

The colour choice is just fantastic. It gives this piece a sense of mystical appearance for some reason. What I really like is the fact that you can use a few different shades to make it look more detail without actually putting in detail ( The wings : O )

i'd really love to know how to paint with watercolors like that. well i don't even have watercolors to start.. but i'd love to have them. what would be your tips to me? first buying watercolors. which ones should i buy? could i get good ones cheap?
and what about painting?
i'd be really happy if you (or anyone) could help me with those questions but i also understand if you're too busy and don't actually have the time

ummm i havent noticed much of a difference w/ the cheap and expensive ones.the ones i am using now are a little on the expensive side and they come in hard little squares inside a case.the brand is windsor & newton cotman watercolours: sketchers pocket box.they are expensive but very good quality and will last you forever.and plus its alot easier to use them and mix them when they are all together in a little box.
but if you go a little cheaper just to start out that might be a better idea.you can get used to them and its not a big deal if you decide that watercolours arent for you because they are cheap!you will get the same experience from the cheap ones so its probably a better idea to start out with them at first
and to tell you the truth, once you practice with them you learn what looks good and how to manage the colours all on your own.i need lots of practice but i learn something new everytime i use them!
