I love the way you've done the shading without being messy about. I have a very hard time shading in pen.

yea its difficult. But i refined my technique by practicing with graphite, even in graphite you need to be delicate as if your using a pen.

Indeed. I use graphite as if it were charcoal, though, so my crosshatching technique kind of sucks.

Just slow down your strokes and try not to use your wrist

Thanks. I didnt really spend much time on this honestly, it was like a 15 or less minute piece. But it turned out nicely so i didnt touch it or add to it.

wow it really looks artsy and deep. I would have said that i think the leaves could have looked a little more realistic, but i noticed that you might have drew it this way intentionally. it really draws the viewers into it and makes them curious about what this drawing is trying to tell us. This is very interesting indeed. Could you fill me in on this one too? if you would like to talk about it a little.

As for the more realistic part maybe. But this is my style of art i dont know realism, its not a good style honestly but this is simply the only way i know how to draw. Now the anatomy and a few things is meant to be off and the strokes of the arms is meant to be off but the flower and the leaves could be better yes. As for the meaning. I guess you could think of anime since i noticed thats something you liked. When they something happens and they do little snippets where they show somone angry sad or emotional. This could be taht snippet showing somones dreams, or heart being shattered but instead of a dream or a heart its 2 surreal hands viciously ripping a rose apart. Since i view a rose a very delicate and precious thing

The one thing that really stands with this piece are the use of color. The black and blue really made a great contrast. Love how you did the shadowing. The way you did the shadows added texture to the drawing. Nice work
