That scene reminds me situation on my work some years ago, when we had over 200 kilograms of documentation papers for (very important) customer at the end of half-year project... its printing and further transportation to the other end of city was a challenge itself

Not many of them, actually - just about fifteen boxes of raw (clean) paper sheets (5x500 A4 sheets in each) and less than 30 similar boxes after printing, stapling and carefully arrangement
P.S. The two printers were under heavy load for about two days long

some people haven't learned how to break free from paper, but ownership of docs can be an issue if someone in your dept. steals your work and claims it as his/her own.
20 50 page copies??? that's extreme for what's supposed to be a paperless environment unless someone is doing a presentation of a project.

Аналогично. Внедрение электронного документоооборота привело к тому, что документ раньше печатался в 1 экземпляре -- а теперь печатается сам документ, отправляется электронный документ, печатается этот электронный документ с сайта , печатается протокол отправки электронного документа... В итоге вместо 1 бумажки -- 3 бумажки и электронный документ на сайте.

Ну это еще неплохо организовано... а то еще бывает, что Контора1 готовит документ, скажем, в Excel(r), потом распечатывает и отправляет по факсу

Ну, успешное внедрение электронного документооборота - это уже большое достижение технического прогресса!
Я наблюдаю процессы такого внедрения в нескольких ведомствах, которые проводятся как "эксперимент", длящийся местами уже почти десяток лет, где "подопытные" делопроизводители (поскольку это эксперимент, он проводится не сразу во всем ведомстве, а в некоторых отделах) отчаянно и безуспешно пытаются научиться (или научить систему) делать то, что они делали всегда. Причем базовые бюрократические приемы, типа "положить под сукно" или "запустить дурочку" система делает легко, а вот положительно рассмотреть и дать ход делу, в котором есть какие-то проблемы, никак не получается.

Because unscrupulous mangers (always) have taken your work and put their own name on it or have left your name but edited the content to the opposite of what you originally wrote.
Keep the evidence. Anything that exists ONLY in e-form can be (ahem!) massaged.
