America, the greatest scourge in the history of mankind!

Yep, worse than, say, North Korea, Iran, Belarus, or any of a dozen other places where posting that comment would get you disappeared or just shot in the back of the head and dumped in the street.

I oppose American intervention in Ukraine not because I hate America, but because I love her.

Well spoken. While I don't like what Putin's doing in Ukraine, unlike a lot of Republicans, I know that American force doesn't solve everything. I have a friend who was talking to a veteran of Iraq, and he said that the US military is too worn by Iraq and Afghanistan to do much in Crimea. Besides, if we go to war with Russia, there's a good chance it might go thermonuclear, and that would not be fun.

And what would happen if they push and we not counter them? Likely they would keep pushing for more, it's what those before them did.

Dude, we have nukes, but so do the Russians. If things go sour, if there's an actual hot war between us and Russia, I don't think Putin would hesitate long to blow America off the map. America will counter, and mutually assured destruction would not be fun. Anyways, it seems like Russia's encountering stiffer resistance in eastern Ukraine.

He's not stupid, he worked for the KGB. Neither side is going to pull shit like that, we both know it would result in the world ending.

I don't know. Putin can be pretty ruthless. Either way, Ukraine's on the border with Russia, which makes things more difficult. If the US were to try to stop Putin, we'd need the European Union to help as well.

They're still our allies, therefore they're still obligated to provide us staging areas closer to the fighting at bare minimum; assuming things do go south, but no one uses nukes.

Pfft if anything they would deny us entry for a staging area because to them were the bad guys I'm sorry but most of Europe is filled with cowards and beta male pussies and Islamic sympathizers so they won't help us do shit.

Yep, looks like Ukraine's divided into two. The pro-western Kiev administration, and the pro-Russian faction (which technically, I support).

The whole thing started when USA stuck it's nose in Ukraine and planned to install military equipment there. Russia needs to me completely bonkers to allow that. Thus, the whole issue happened. I don't support annexing somebody else's territory but I understand what is the whole reason for what happened.

Yeah, but Crimea was territory which was a part of Ukraine. You can't just settle a few hundred thousand people on somebody else's territory and then vote it off. Although, American assholes did it more than once, but they have been smarter in how they played their game.
