If you want to share your parameters with me, I will be more than happy to see if I can get DoF similar to this. Often times when there is a lot of "Z," it's hard to pinpoint the correct place(s) for the DoF! Β

Thanks for the positive feedback. I simply can't seem to get it right no idea if I should be altering the radius etc and whether z1 and z2 should differ? 1 or 2 passes? When I select one area obv the rest Β blurs but what if I want several focal points? I fiddled with every thing! See I have many questions
when I get on PC tomorrow will find my parms and share with with you thank you

No problem! Z1 and Z2 should always differ unless you want a very narrow, single focal point. This may work on some pieces, but it rarely ever does with most. You will always want 3 passes for best blurring. More aperture, more blur as well...More radius is more blur too (but I just always set it at 100, and this number really doesn't do all too much I have found ).Β 

Anyway, keep up the good work! Β

thanks, i have to admit i had to use gimp a bit to perfect the blur as simply couldnt get it where i wanted in MB kept blurring too much... i wish someone would write a good DoF tutorial!
