Description    OK folks be gentle on me... This is my first ever effort at MB3D and getting to this stage so far I have been studying it for a few hours over the last week. I have had some excellent guidance from the awesome Marnie aka miincdesign who has encouraged me to submit this, as I know its way out of the league of many of you. So much to learn and understand my brain has been fried! lol

First it reminded me of Jabba the hut lol

This is therefore a tweak of miincdesign:

Thanks for all the support

Ahhh this is quite interesting! It reminds me of some ancient treasure found at an archeological dig site -- like it belonged on a temple as decoration somewhere!  I always have a hard time matching backgrounds with my creation and you've managed that well, too. It all works together.

This is a really nice first attempt! I think you're going to really love M3D -- moving into 3D can be a bit confusing, but once you get past that initial hump you will have sooooooooo much fuuuunnn!!! Can't wait to see!!

A very cool 1st attempt, someone made a comment about a walking brain and I flashed on a book called Jack The Bodiless by Julian May, don't know if you read sci-fi but it's a good read. (2nd book in a trilogy, but I don't remember the 1st one.) Thank You

Great to see that you come around within the fractal world!
This one is really a fascinating start into Mandelbulb.
I agree there may be a few more options in M3D, at least in terms of formulas, and maybe lightning. Not to forget that additional dimension
Nevertheless I hope your brain gets cool again soon. Hopefully you'll have more of this kind of pictures too

Ok going out into the deep end of the 'verse with what we see.....  airborne flying craft, a mother ship, a number of shuttle crafts hovering along the docking lines, they deboard inside the docks which transport them up into the main part of the ship, the black areas are open access for the thousands upon thousands of alien armies... readying for the invasion... yeah ok just sayin' ....  and we can see the millions of pods inside that mother ship where they live and travel the 'verse to conquer new worlds.  Yeah, dorky to some but this image is sparking the sci-fi geeks in my son and me as we look at this! Hahaha! WE LOVE IT!  Thanks for posting this!!

Great work for being the first time Martina No one would have done it better! It takes time to get used to all the infinite buttons, formulas handlers etc. Take it slowly and the most important, imho, always have fun with it so things are better, lol.
Keep up the great work!

I'm tempted to be negative and answer not a lot. Was suggested to me to start by tweaking first. You are def getting on well! I've literally only spent a couple of hours over a few days on it so v new for me... I will try to brave some time thanks for the support my friend!!

Swoopswatkill In reply to poca2hontas [2014-08-12 21:42:21 +0000 UTC]

Psssht...You'd be fine! I already see quite a few post processing features you've used here, which tells me you have an eye for composition at least. That's the only real battle with this software. It's very much like taking a picture. You either have an eye for it or you don't. You're definitiely a step ahead!
