Another acrylic and gouache painting, with FELT! I found this felt called "STICKO FELT" and I love it! Also this is on chip board, and is from the CN movie "Flintstones on the Rocks." And is inspired by the character designs of Craig Kellman as well as the awesome andHere is the part of the movie that features the girl I drew, but you should definitely watch from the start:

Incredible! I love the shadow tones you used on the girl! Thank you for pointing out that that Flintstones short is on youtube, I had only previously had a bunch of Kellman sketches from it on my computer. Did you pick up the Madagascar 2 artbook. Man the Kellman designs in their just blow my freakin mind. Michele got it for me for Christmas. He is def on the top of my list of fav artists. Was also just at the bookstore two weekends ago, and flipping through the Monster Vs. Aliens artbook, and he did a lot of production art for that film as well. I may very well pick up that book just based on that, ha. Thank you for the kind words as well, your art continues to inspire me on so many levels. I seriously hold your design sensibilities up there with Kimball and Oreb, you're incredible.

Thank you so much, I'm glad you like it! I don't have the Madagascar book but I saw some of the designs on a blog and saved those in a folder. Have you seen the Open Season book, one of my friends has it and its really great, oddly enough the sequel has really good dog designs despite being pretty terrible. I could send you the screen caps if you'd like! Thanks again!

Ahh if you want, can take some pics for you, and send some other kellman stuff i have. I would totally be interested in seeing those dog designs. I never saw the film, or the first one, but my one friend had the art of book, and it was damn impressive. Def another book i would not mind eventually picking up.
