Description
The world's shrunken population lives in specialized micro-cities, safe from the titanic regular-sized humans. So comfortable and secure were these tinies that they paid no mind to the rumbling of Katerina's gentle approach through the snow. Katerina gazed down at the city through the thick winter fog, surveying the hundreds of thousands of minuscule people, hustling through their lives. She observed how trapped in their own little world the tiny people seemed, totally oblivious to her godly presence above them.
Even as Katerina raised her massive sole through the mist, dwarfing the skyline, she saw infinitesimal ice skaters twirling in the park. ~It’s almost a shame to interrupt, they look so cute down there~, thought Katerina. But the familiar rush of power prompted her to casually ahem to get their attention. Her voice rolled through the city like thunder, the tiny citizens freezing in various poses of shock, looking up in awe at the beautiful young woman. “I’m sorry, little people, but I feel like stepping on you,” Katerina declared, smugly.
The city erupted into screaming panic and terror, drivers racing to city limits, pedestrians running for the subways, many simply paralyzed, unable to look away from the colossal giantess. Katerina was pleased by the hundreds of thousands of people fleeing in hysteria beneath her foot. ~Such a silly reaction, they must know that they can’t outrun me…~ Katerina briefly enjoyed the feeling of total power she had, and then aimed the ball of her foot toward the ice skaters. She steadily lowered her foot down on the city, unhurried, knowing that nothing could stop her now. The girl’s massive sole eclipsed the city, growing larger as it descended and casting a terrifying shadow over everyone. Katerina breathed deep, savoring the moment, and then drove her heel forcefully down. First the people saw metal skyscrapers crumpling under her, and then the sky was filled with her sole, stretching across the whole city, plummeting down with inhuman speed. The unlucky tinies braced uselessly, shielding their heads as Katerina’s full weight stomped down, flattening them instantly.
Katerina flicked the squashed remnants of half a million people and their homes off her foot. “Huh! It only took one step..”
