Description

Please note we did not encourage these dogs to fight. They were enjoying the snow and I think they had a quick moment of over excited playfighting. I was taking photos of them in the snow and caught a few snaps of it and I think it's interesting. These dogs live together, are friends, and were not hurt at all by each other at any point let alone this day. Thanks.

Impact

The image is crisp and clear with all the details of life from the bared teeth to the specks of snow that are peppered in the fur of the fighting dogs. The photograph is creative but also brings back the nostalgia of a novel titled The Call of the Wild. It is very reminiscent of the subjects and scenes of the book. The only thing missing is the wolven interlopers that appear throughout the book. I really admire the low angle of the photograph because it really brings the viewer close to the subjects in question without a wide angled background distracting and detracting from the main subjects. Because of the low angle that really gets in your face, the impact hits close to home. I really admire this piece.
