Wow, been a long while since I last drew SU art but heck, the episode is really good! a whole lot of symbolism, seeing Stevonnie a lot in this episode, the song with Stevonnie and Garnet was amazing and the episode finally tackles all of Steven's issues and what he has been seeing because wow; I would question if the 14 year old was alright with poofing a gem himself, seeing a gem get corrupted which he couldn't heal and sending a gem out to space that wanted to kill him and dealing with the fact that your mother did a lot of bad things.So yeah, good episode and really give a suggest for Steven Universe.

I really liked the episode, it addressed a lot of important things about Steven and how he's been dealing with certain issues. Very powerful imagery and I'm curious to see how Steven's view of his mother will evolve in the future. (also I want to know more about Rose Quartz, I'm becoming very intrigued by her and her past actions) The final part of the episode was very beautiful and I honestly teared up a bit at Stevonnie's last sentence.Β

Yeah, I gotta say that episode really became something important to me, especially since Steven doesn't really address his issues to the gems or his dad - I like that it's at least someone helped him. Which I was glad that it was Connie to do this.
I think the way I see it, it's complicated since Rose was seen as such a great person to Steven (and us) and the way Pearl was talking about how great Rose was gave a positive opinion but after meeting characters like Bismuth and what Jasper say - it does make you wonder if Rose made Steven to surpass her both in strength and mortality since she did a lot of mistakes or something else, for me Rose Quartz had the 'rose-tinted' glasses on the entire time. Tho I am sure Steven's feelings towards his mother will show up at some point.
