I always found it odd that Gearo was kind enough to let her keep her womb; keeping an ovary makes sense, as the brain needs hormones to stay healthy, and that may have been more efficient then a synthesizer, but why her whole womb? After taking away everything else from her, thinking he had made her and her brother into absolute slaves (does he still have his testes and prostate?), with no other purpose then to avenge the mad ambition of a pathetic runt, it still bugs me, WHY did he let her keep her womb?
Most likely, her having a child with Krillian was just a farted out plot device to help strengthen her bonds with the main group, which she otherwise didnβt have much in common with. The author probably didnβt put much thought into the particulars of how much of her original body Gearo would likely have retained besides her brain. Given the ruthless logic of ROBOCOP, just from an executive perspective βwe saved the left arm!β, βNo, I wanted full body prosthesis!β, and given how ruthless Gearo was depicted to be in his pursuit of revenge, it seems very unlikely that he would have included anything more then an ovary besides her brain, if that. Much like The Major from βGhost in the Shellβ.
If he had a sentimental streak that prompted him to let them keep their ability to have children, no clue of that has been given anywhere. So her baby, sad to say, is a maguffin born of a subtle plot hole.
