This is my Version of the Song-of-Fire-and-Ice-Meme of .
1.I had heard about the books, but I had heard of another boring Romeo and Juliet story with nearly the same title and mistook them for these. Watching the series was amazing and well, I wanted to have more.
2.Khal Drogo
I thought a lot about that. The Imp is a magnificent character. I like a lot of others too, but I always ended up that I started to see the series because I was curious who this Babarian was who I saw in the advertisement. And I love Jason Momoas powerful interpretation of this innovative and worldopen horselord.
3.Arya & Gendry
Their young misinterpretation of the other one is so cute.
Jamie & Brienne
Brilliant pairing with a great evolution of their bond.
Daenerys & Drogo
It´s like Beauty and the Beast.
Tyrion & Mormont
I loughed so much when these two ended up togehter.
4.Drogo & Drogon
This Horselord with this mighty Dragon, that would arouse the world.
5.Catelyn Stark & Cersei Lennister
At first I though about Davos, because some parts from him were boring for me. But in Dance with Dragons it became interesting and if my husband would be a Character there it would be him.
I didn´t like Cates whiningj and the text sounded good.
6.Jon Snow is the child of Rhaegar Tagyaren and Lyanna Stark
... and is so the rightful heir of the sevon kingdoms.
7.Rob... dead...
Sansa... married
Arya a servant of the many faced god, she won´t be a mother.
Bran... Magician of the north, not a lord.
Rickon would be quit interesting.
But Althoug Gendry would be the perfect Florian for Sansa and didn´t he want a more adult Arya?
8.I loved how Daenerys changed the situation.

10.Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish
Well, a lot of People like the Boltons deserve to die, but he managed the start of the whole thing. I don´t like lies and finally, being born as a twin, I have got a trigger on not beeing able to seperate sisters.

i am also suspicious about this whole thing with lyanna. Robert B. was an asshole (that's not insult, that's just pure fact) plus he was crazy about her and finally, her death by hands of Targaryen made Starks loyal allies of Baratheons.

My current favorite theory is that Jaime and Cersei are half Targaryen. Baristan mentions some freedoms the Crazy King took whithin the wedding of Tywin Lennister. I´m eager to read on.

cat was awesome, she literally lost everything her husband = dead, her sons = imprisoned or dead, her daughters = imprisoned, then her first son = dead and in the end she lost also her own life...
maybe she whines in the books but in the series she is just an awesome character ^^

I like her fine in the show but she's annoying in the books, always complaining about stuff and in the show she tries to get Ned to stay in Winterfell but in the books she urges him to go, so she's ultimately the reason everything happens in the books (of course that can be said for half the characters, alot of things had to go wrong for everything to be were it is now). In the show the only really annoying thing is she still hates Jon, she hates him in the book too, but some of the stuff she says in the books about him is also really annoying so even that's worse in the books. For example she remarks once that Ned must have really loved Jon's mother because no matter what she said he wouldn't send him away, we maybe he just loves his son? Ever think of that? She's also annoyed in the books over the fact Jon looks more like Ned than any of her kids do, if anything that should make living with him easier, he doesn't look like the woman that your husband had an affair with, that should be a good thing.

i am glad they did it though...i liked her in the series and her dislike for jon in the series make her...well not likeable but relatable...she is a human with faults and imperfections.^^

Yeah I like that they changed it, even though she's mean to Jon she's still relatable in the show. When it comes to tv\movie versions of books and stuff I think when there's room for improvement filmmakers shouldn't feel afraid or pressured just because it's not entirely true to the source material.

True. There she´s one of my favorites. Rereading the book I start to like her more and more. But it´s hard to decide on a least favorite character. A good written villian is still a great character, even if you woudn´t like to meet him or her in person.
Damn, I think I schould do a new one, now I´m throug all the books. ... hmmm... but I think I´ll wait until there is a new one out. That might change some things again.

personally I hate Drogo because as you said hes a barbarian a savage pillaging and raping with his horde all about. Jamie and Brienne I agree they evolve and I am hooked on the show as they just started in episode five of season 3 to bond. Plus Jamie's reaction to meeting her "Is that woman?" I lmaod. Least favorite? wouldn't say Cat as I see where she is coming from her family is pretty much killed off one by one.
I however positively hate Rhaegor that pretty a-hole pretty much screwed over the whole thing because he set Robert in the path of downfall with the death of Lyanna. Robert mounted his rebellion almost becasue of her! The man really loved her and whenever I hear he wouldn't be loyal I disagree he was in pretty much eternal mourning when Lyanna died. He called out her name when he was with Cercie for gods sakes!?

Aye, and The Hobbit/LOTR series have been out for more than 50 now, and people still haven't read all/any of them. Seriously, I had no idea that the books existed before the show, so don't be to harsh on people who haven't read them yet out of lack of time/ability.
(although I agree on the risk of spoiling yourself by chekcing out the fandom before finishing everything.)
