Another collab with the mighty .Have to honestly say that as the first time out on the bat-fam...this is maybe not my best work xP. I found the single colour costume extremely difficult to render in my colouring style, and I think close up, the work looks good but from a distance it's very difficult to figure out what's going on. I'm contemplating going in again on this later and doing it with a slightly different approach.

I'd say it just needs some highlights to accentuate the forms. It's a good coloring job, just needs some touching up. The drawing and cropping are really well done too; kudos to the artist.

Sadly I've flattened the coloured version of this so when I update it, I'm gonna have to go back in from the lineart out xP. But it shall be done, and soon

I agree with "faceless drone". I'd use a darker shade of purple for the cape in the BG and add more highlights for the FG parts. You could just make a multiply layer in Photoshop and go over just the BG with a 20 or 30% gray. That will darken the BG considerably. Then just ad your highlights on the FG elements like her face and fist.
Yer base so far is pretty awesome!

Thanks very much man, I am unfortunately gonna have to go RIGHT back to the lineart as I flattened and saved over the finished article by mistake. I'm intending to do it soon, just haven't had much of a chance this past fortnight. Thanks for the insights and the chance to colour this rad piece man

just a suggestion, but maybe making the background a different color would help distinguish the character a little more. also if the suit is one color, try using slightly different shades of that color. Mainly darker and lighter where necessary. if that makes sense.

I think I definitely bit off a lot more than I could chew trying to keep one colour for the entire outfit. Unfortunately I flattened the image after adding gradients and the motion blur so I actually need to reboot the piece from the lineart to get something smarter out of it, hence I've not updated it yet. Thanks for the advice, it really helps, just need to add a little bit of distinguishing colour contrast to it

naw man, the piece is ace. adding opacity layers where necessary like on the cape and maybe the bat logo. and like i said, change the BG below her elbow to maybe a 85-90% gray and it would be perfect. you colored it well, and i really dig the motion blur. just an opacity change here and there and it would make a world of a difference.

i was talking about the bottom right corner under her elbow. believe it or not that would make a pretty significant difference.
