The afternoon began, Andrea was getting ready and checked on her black cape for the fifth time. Eogrynn was looking out the trailer, acting curious and relaxed.
Pete, who was the groom for today, grinned at the whole scene. "Hey Andrea, calm down a little" he said, spinning a grooming brush in his hands. The young woman turned around, sighing. "I just want everything to be perfect." She said, walking towards him. "Now you're sounding just like Darcy." he pointed out, a smile on his lips. Andrea chuckled at that. "I guess I am." She admitted. "But you know, I just hope that Eogrynn will do good." She added. Pete nodded. This would be Eogrynn's second last contest before he'd retire officially of competitions. "I'm sure you two will do your very best. You can't do more than that." He said, giving the blue roan stallion a pat on his neck.

The thick layer of snow seemed to not affect Eogrynn at all, probably because of the cheddar-yellow blanket he had on his back. They were finished warming up, the night was settling in and Andrea was taking a last deep breath before nodding to Pete. The young man took off the blanket, helped her on the stallion and watched them walk towards the outdoors arena. He sent out a small 'good luck' message before going back inside.
