As in Unova, Kalos is preparing for the World Tournament too, and the shift to ten was rather well received, by most. Especially the newest Champion, who adjusted the Kalos League's rules to be more akin to Unova's, in that any battle style is welcome. Kalos's newest Champion is determined to make his adopted region's Trainers the strongest in the world, mostly to spite Galar, but also to demonstrate the superiority and larger knowledge Kalosians when it comes to dealing with Mega Evolution, and other methods of advancing a Pokemon's power.
Compared to Alain, Connor is a bit of a recluse, though that comes from being seated safely behind an Elite Four with Serena on it. Between her and his rapidly learning dragon specialist and girlfriend hailing from Norstard, challengers of the Kalos League are finding the mountaintop mansion challenge to be harder than ever.
