Well that actually makes a bit of sense depending on your definition of a negative emotion. Does anger count as a negative emotion?

yep. anger, jealousy, sadness and everything in-between. basically things that arent good qualities. and no, these arent based of the seven deadly sins. Im athiest.
anger is often stimulated by fear. If we are scared of something new, first thing we try to do is attack it. It also works if we are afraid of losing something or someone close to us. we become overly-protective of that person or thing and snap at anyone who we think is even the slightest danger to them. but by doing this, we come off as angry or a bully to everyone around us, sometimes even the person we are trying to protect....
we cannot help how react unless we are one of three things:
1) a heartless bastard
2) someone who can control their emotions extremely well
3) someone who has put a facade up their whole lives. this doesn`t prevent the emotions, but it stops others knowing about them.

fear of being left behind. as the trend moves along, you get left out, so you will start to lose friends as they are talking about things you don`t understand. eventually you get left alone and get teased by the people who believe they are better than you for having that item or quality.
