I really like your realistic takes on pokemon, they all look so amazing, and this is no exception, thought I am a lil concerned about his front paw, it looks slightly broken.

Great work, as usual! Your anatomy and attention to detail is flawless. And yes, I agree that Entei is a lion. He (it) has all the characteristics of one and I love how you incorporated the sabertooth in, too. They are beasts, not dogs and anybody denying that really needs to stop kidding themselves. There's really nothing remotely doglike in any of the beasts.
Keep it up!

Technically each one is based loosely on a different creature, with Raikou being based on a certain thunder demon, Suicune being based on a kirin (japanese unicorn), and Entei being based on a fuu dog (which is a chinese lion).
People are silly though XD

I'm well aware of that, and yeah, Raikou is a raiju with smilodon qualities.
Yep, I've been trying to help contain the "HURR NO SWEETCORN IS A SPARKLEWULF" edit wars on Bulbapedia for years. :l

Agreed 100%! I always sorta felt like Arcanine was also based on the Fuu dog, Growlithe too, whose Japnese name is "guardie".

Most likely, especially considering that their species name is "Legendary Pokemon" even though they're totally not part of the pokemon mythos and can be caught/raised normally.
