Description I was touching up my old experiment, "Gothic Rose" (another deviation somewhere in my gallery) several days ago when I fell upon another photo from the same "shoot" with Stephanie that I had begun editing but never finished. I guess this is a followup to what I experimented with over a year ago. I don't know if I like this one better or not. It's far subtler than my first try. No brushes or textures were used, just her hair framing her pale face. The original image can be found here. I like it. Stephanie is definitely a versatile woman.

ay. now I just blame myself. and my old monitor. It looked fine on that one, but now I can definitely see what you're saying. Her face is a little bleached out. I shall try to adjust the levels when I get around to it. Thank you very much.

Nah. Not so much. I haven't really taken portraits in a while. Not since August when Kyle and I had fun downtown. But I need to eventually. Stephanie's preggers and about ready to blow. I have to get a family portrait of her and Adam before the baby is born. Eventually.....

Oh boy. I would never use you for anything other than being a model in my photos. I'm not that cruel and manipulative.

hahaha. Stephanie is doing fantastic at the moment. Did I not tell you she was pregnant? Yep, she's about going into her eighth month, and her stomach is bursting as the days go by. She looks radiant. Eventually, I'm going to be taking a family portrait of her before the little bundle of joy comes into the world.

By the way, her eyes are actually brown. I just thought it would be cool to change the color.

Interesting effect. Did you edit the colours or was this just achieved with some interesting lighting?

I did edit the colors. I desaturated her skin and played with the levels to erase most of the background and brighten her already pale complexion. Once I did this, I pretty much burned the rest of the background until it was completely black. I also made sure not to remove color from her lips and the necklace she wore.

I talk a lot. lol. Thanks for the comment, love!
