I do not believe that a womanβs body is only acceptable if altered.Therefore, I do not believe in shaving.

I shave my underarms when it's summer and when I have swimming class, because I used to have this female teacher with really hair armpits and it kinda grossed me out. Legs, as long as I can wear pants I hardly ever shave.

Well i feel bad when i see (any) unsaved armpit cuz it hurts and tickles at the same time if i dont shave my armpits, but i cant believe how stupid men are they say im beautiful i tell them i rarely shave my legs they get all o_O'' eeuuugh And they act like i should love them for their hairy legs when they dont love me with mine. Whatever if i dont make sense its cuz im drunk

All men forget there was a time this was the norm. I shave only because I model, but if I can not shave, I don't. Too much hassle for something completely natural.

That's like "not believing" in dying your hair. Or "not believing" in wearing green clothes.
Just say "Therefore, I do not shave" or "I do not feel the need to shave"

Gold star! I noticed recently that I don't, in fact, find underarm hair off-putting in the least. As such, I've been less self-conscious of it on myself.
I am pretty sure I heard somewhere that having the layer of hair to keep your skin from rubbing against itself REDUCES body odor, so those people who shave so they won't smell can shut their faces. It always makes me happy when nature is like, "Naw, I got this one."

I never understood the necessity for shaving. I never even noticed or was conscientious of my armpit hair until I entered into high school. I was oblivious to the fact that other girls had armpits bare of any hair. There was only two incidents that hit a cord with my obliviousness. One when I rose my hand to answer a question in class (I was wearing a tube top the last time I recall) and the girl beside me insisted I put my hand down. The other incident was when I overheard being spoken of in the change room because I lacked the "ability," to use a razor. And even then, I was baffled at their judgement of my body hair. As if it was unhygienic or disgusting.
It's nice to see an image that presents a woman's body in a more natural state. Unshaven. (not that I have a problem with women who choose to do so, but I believe motive is important and a lot of the time, the cultural conditioning of associating body hair on women with being unclean or "non-feminine," gives many women motive to shave).

Acceptable in what way may I ask? If women choose to shave of their own accord is that a problem? I respect both decisions (to either shave or not), neither of them should be about acceptance though (whether that's to be accepted or go against what is considered acceptable.)

The problem with leg-shaving is that it's done without any consideration for why it's being done. "Because it looks better" is the conditioned response that I always get from people.

Well hopefully my answer has more substance in your mind! I shave because I prefer the feeling of my legs being hairless, my skin is soft, smooth, and unhindered. The prickles of hair have always bothered me, so I don't want them around.

It depends, but I truly don't mean to be offensive. Have you ever let it grow out? It isn't prickly when it grows out and your skin is still soft. Do you shave your arms? If you don't, that is the perfect example. Your skin is still soft, the hair lays flat, you never need to bother with irritation from excessive shaving, and you save a small fortune when you're not buying shaving accessories.
My opinion doesn't matter, though! 
My inner dialog:
Q: Why don't I have my legs?
A: Because I don't want to.
Q: Why don't I want to?
A: Because it's a waste of time.
Q: Why is it a waste of time?
A: Because there's no benefit to it.
Q: Are you sure?
A: I'm not a professional swimmer or body-builder. I don't need to worry about drag or anyone judging my muscles, and shaving doesn't keep me any cleaner.
Q: Are you sure?
A: If it were a matter of hygiene, men would do it, too, we'd shave our entire bodies, and we'd all shave our heads bald. This would all be done without being brow-beaten into it.
Q: Are you sure?
A: Razor companies would still compete for our dollars, but there'd be a reason for it.
Q: You're sure there isn't a reason for it?
A: Razor companies in the US only started targeting women during WWI. If there were a reason, targeting wouldn't be required because EVERYONE would already be shaving.
And so forth. I do this for why I like or dislike books, movies, TV shows, television in general, fashion, and all sorts of politics, to name a few. I don't mean to be trollish. I only mean to share my process.

I didn't find it trollish at all. I think it's a good process to go through to truly make sure you are content with your decisions and opinions.
I just don't like the feeling of hair, and it's therapeutic to me, along with the rest of my beauty routine. When I'm done with all that stuff I'm relaxed and content. I admit my grooming habits are probably excessive, but I think it's just part of my personality. 
Although I do generally have sensitive skin, I never get irritation. I think it's from a combination of my soap, my lotion, and the type of razor I use. Could also be I've done it for so long my skin is accustomed to it.

I totally agree with the statement you made there. I mean if guys don't shave there, it's no big deal?
As people, we create these beliefs but we should change it because just from this one thing, bigger steps are made to a point woman alter themselves.

This is a nice photograph in terms of its strange composition and I agree with the message whole-heartedly. I do not shave either, and I've been happier and more confident since giving it all up.
People may think of you as lazy for not shaving, but actually it takes a lot of effort to battle against the feelings you and others have about it, and to finally build up the confidence to go outside with underarm or leg hair showing. (I've also found that people on the whole aren't as funny about leg hair as they're apparently supposed to be.)

I notice people looking at my legs when I show them off, but no one would say anything about it. Except for my roommate, who has offered to shave them for me. She even bought a razor. Now she's just trying to get me in the bathroom and stop struggling. o_0

And why did Alexander's standard of shaving facial hair in men get so popular with non-soldiers?
People tell me all that hair is "ugly", but frankly, I don't really have a sense for that kind of thing. Neither do I have a sense for fashion.
