Every nervous jangling of his hands and shifting of weight between his feet was a poem, and every single time he ran a hand through his hair he was confessing his love once again. He had to be smothering those flowers, what with the way he was gripping them, but that hardly mattered. It was the thought that counted.The door opened, and the man stood up straight, presenting the flowers. “May I come in?”
A lovely voice answered him, sounding shy and joyful all at once. “Please do.”
