I love this because it really touches on something I've always wondered. Unless it was explained in the game and I missed it, why is it that the Alliance waits 2 flipping years to honor the fallen? Did they just forget about them or something?

With that said, love love love your Mass Effect comic series.

Joker said that everything fell apart after Shepard died, more like everyone got dumb.
And am glad you enjoy them

There should have been an option to salvage the Mako. Screw the Hammerwhatisit, I want my Mako!

The Overlord DLC made me want the Mako back.
It was hell to drive, but at least it had a radar screen, shield emitters, and a damage indicator.
They should combine the way the Hammerhead was steered with the toughness of the Mako.

I always hated the fact that your damned if you don't and damned if you do with the Alliance and the Council. At least the council allowed you a superficial olive branch. Of course the human military can't do the same thing because they have a long history and tradition of f-ing over soldiers, old and new. And I mean human military collectively, soldiers who fight and die so fat pigs can line their pockets and gain more power than they already have, while trumpeting that it is for a good cause. In ME3, Shepard should get to crack skulls of the Alliance Brass, it seems the only people on your side is Admiral Hackett and Anderson.

Aside from that, yeah, that DLC made me sad, except when I got to the Mako, I was like, "It's still salvageable and we have plenty of room in the cargo bay for it!" and everyone on board was like "NOOOOOO!!!" especially Tali and Garrus, the poor bastards.

I found it really annoying in ME2 at the news how every side quest I completed had the Alliance in it. Or the BDtS how they thank Alliance soldiers for helping and no mention of Shepard.
I felt so used when playing. Like they just waited for Shepard to die and make money out of figurines and posters of the first human Spectre and hero "Hey guys, Shepard's dead allowed me to buy a new beach house and a yacht from the money we made of t-shirts...yay". And when I get back, the aliens were happier than humans. Don't you just want to go renegade on their asses?
And it was side leaving the Mako behind *sniff*. It was just standing there waiting for me to take it back...but no...

Very nice depiction of that scene. I always thought that the music for that mission should be a distorted version of the Normandy's theme. The music that played reminded me too much of the Collectors. A distorted version of the Normandy's theme would have reflected the fact it was violently destroyed.

The music was kind of creepy and they wanted you to remember you got your ass kicked by collectors and they might be watching you from the wreckage...they are everywhere.
But I agree with the Normandy theme, though it would have been more depressing that way.

Yeah, that would be more depressing. I got the twisted Normandy theme from Wraithmarsh's theme in Fable II, it was Oakvale's theme but distorted. I agree, the music did make me keep expecting Collectors the first time I went there
