Great job! In fact I like both recent portraits for you added more contrast than usual. Good job with skin and glasses! Glasses are so hard to paint And finally - respect for painting 5-6 hours and posing for as long, that sums up to 10-12h!

Thank you I have really been pushing to up the contrast in my portraits so I'm glad to hear it's coming across. Haha, I think it's much easier for me to pose for myself than for someone else to do it. Because I can have a stretch any time that I want, and my brain is very occupied so I don't get bored and restless.

This looks very nice ! I like the pendant detail and the way you did the shadows ^w^I am wondering, though, do you directly paint on a digital canvas, or are these traditional paintings that you finish up digitally? I'm really curious, forgive me :3

Thank you so much! I paint these portraits digitally from start to finish

I find digital easier to work with than traditional! There's no mistake you can't undo if you're working digitally, and it's much easier to fix mistakes in proportion because you can grab and move sections of your painting!

I can see why ^^ Yes, that is true! I'm just wondering about the medium itself though, in like, do you use your computer for it etc. (and your screen not being in your vision) But maybe it's just me

Oh, I see what you mean. Yes, getting set up for a self-portrait digitally takes a little bit of thinking. I use a Microsoft Surface for my paintings, so it's just a small tablet and I draw directly on the screen. So I can easily sit with my tablet in my lap while I draw. Then I set up the mirror in front of me, and can look between my face in the mirror and the drawing on the screen by just moving my eyes, without moving my head. I hope that makes sense!
