My first truly EPIC scale picture, commissioned by . I would very much like to thank him for bringing me this awesome idea, and for having the patience of a saint as I've muddled through from week to week

This picture was an enormous undertaking, and one I must admit I sorely underestimated. I won't put a figure to the number of months I've spent on this piece (suffice to say its more than a few), but after a lot of blood, sweat and tears, its finally done - and I am very pleased with the final product. The individual chess pieces, the tiny details lost in the background, the shading... all of it has really been a huge challenge, and not only from an artistic stand point. It seems even my new computer had trouble coping with the sheer scope of this picture! The number of times I lost progress because of a system crash is well into the high double digits... lesson learned: save early, save often, save after every single addition!!
But at the end of it all, I am very happy to have produced such a grand scale picture and see months of hard work pay off I hope you all like it.
