A very detailed portrait, especially in the facial features and the clothing. His expression shows much pathos. He looks sad, yet resigned to his new world. It is a fine representation of Mr. Depp. The background, in its sense of drabness and subdued lighting, is ironically the brightest aspect of the portrait and works to strangely highlight his figure. His fingers have an arachnid quality to them. This is a portrait which begs you to examine it up close; therein, will be found much to like.
