Jan 2009Did you ever have one of those characters you created that you just wish that you could be like? Well Denzil is that character for me. Not her life (which has really sucked in the past), but her personality. Denzil is brilliant, sexy, confident, kind, motherly, organized and doesn't anger easily... nevermind her being a telepath, able to disable and fizzle nearly any psionic power or magical spell manefested anywhere near her, or that if she thinks too hard she could crush somebody's mind.
She's the leader of the Saddle Tramps, a group of (nearly) all female, cowgirl psychics. ('Nearly' because the mutant horse and hound dog are boys.)Yeah, I so wish that I had Denzil's gifts.

saddle tramps, classic! Like the ritual macigians I created for a game called 'The Storm Riders' that wore stetsons and dusters, spurs and sixguns instead of robes, pointy hats and wands.

They were originally in a RIFTS game, but we eventually evolved that into the d20 system, D&D and Dragonstar. Denzil is dating a paladin marshall, the classic leather duster, overly polite, sideburns, old fashioned cowboy with a holy avenger six shooter, and his tin star serving as a holy symbol.
Wow.. sorry. I could just go on and on about Cobb, he's.. wow.. hot.
But the campain is amazing! Not everybody is western, but enough of the characters are that it has a serious western feel to it. Even Cobb's starship is all wood panneling, rifles and buffalo skulls hanging on the wall, and has an 'old west' feel to it. *really has to draw Cobb*

Nearly every time I've ever drawn Denzil her hair is different. XD The character herself actually changes her hairstyle every month or so. Usually it's either relaxed into a straight hairstyle, or with lots of braids.

Actually, the only texture I used was to make the purple background look like canvas. That's all done by hand (erm, tablet). ^^
