haha I love that you put the run over turtle in there, because I have run into so many radical anti hunters/trappers/fur etc people depicted in your comic(which is fine that is their choice and I will respect it if well educated and supported)but they always state how much life hunters and trappers take from the land-when in reality over 90% of total wildlife mortality is due to human activity such as cell phone towers, and mostly-driving.Β If they really cared, they would quit driving and using a cell phone.Β But surprisingly, they never do-but shall continue to rant x'3

I've gotta say, "corpse doll", with or without the "z" tacked on the end, sounds amazing in a delightfully macabre way. It would make for an awesome username... or band name... or brand name, or name of a product line... etc.

i'm fine with people wearing fur, as it seems terrifyingly warm. owo
the things where the animal is squished scares me and makes me depressed... ._.
taxidermy i'm fine with, but i can't help but think of Mad Father when i see something like that, which, if you don't know whatmad father is, it's a game about a girl's dad who is basicly a human taxidermist. o_o

I worry as you get them offline and you do not know if its off a poacher or not. I disagree with poaching as they really do not care if they shoot a pregnant female or that they just shot the alfa or whatever they are killing for money and not a purpose which any game kepper or land management/ ranger deals with them differently they shoot to deal with issues like to many animals or animal is injured but they do try the best for the animals but you have the right to buy fur I have sheep skin slippers and have to go through the same.

The fur seems more worried than the owner. (Possibly because all the owner will get is complaints whereas the fur will be taken to the forest, ceremonially burned in a spirit circle and its ashes spread across a local stream. A terrible way to go.)
There is only one way to stop this, put on an angora sweater, the angora rage wagon should crash into the fur wagon and they'll cancel each other out.

If you don't mind me asking Pookyns, what's your opinion on people having wolves as pets? Or wolfdogs that have a lot of wolf blood in them?
π: 0 β©: 1
pookyhorse In reply to ClaireBear26 [2014-01-16 23:00:29 +0000 UTC]
It depends. I don't think they are for most folks and folks shouldn't just get them because they are cool and not do any research. As long as they know what they are doing and can give the animal all it's needs I'm okay with it.Β

Sorry to butt in, but I thought I'd add my two cents.
I owned a wolf hybrid for years (80% Alaskan Timber X 20% Siberian husky), and they are not pets for the faint-hearted. They require a lot of consistent training and handling, they need a lot of room (they are definitely NOT apartment/townhouse-friendly animals) to run and play, and they can require a special diet depending on their breeding. Mine couldn't eat kibble because he had teeth like a wolf, not a dog. They can also be very large. Mine was 185 lbs and was as tall as a Great Dane.Β They will test you CONSTANTLY, and they can be aggressive and destructive if not handled properly. They get bored VERY easily due to their higher intelligence, so any kind of energy-burning activity or challenging toy is right up their ally. Also, I do not recommend them for homes with small children, animals, and livestock.Β These animals are not dogs. They are wolves, and the wolf instincts are VERY strong.
You also need to keep in mind that they are illegal in some states (some states will seize and euthanize the animal if they discover that you have one), and finding a vet can be very difficult because hybrids are classified under "wildlife" and not "domestic". ESPECIALLY if you have one with a high percentage of wolf like mine. Depending on where you live, if you are permitted to own one, you will have to jump through a lot of loopholes in order to keep them according to the standards set forth by the state's DNR. Very few insurance companies will cover you if you own a hybrid because of the increase of incident. Even though my hybrid was a model citizen, I still had to have extra liability insurance in order to cover my butt in the event that something happened.
Personally, I highly encourage you to look at something like the American Indian Dog instead of a hybrid. You get all of the benefits and the appearance (though they are smaller), but none of the problems that come with the hybrids. Plus, they're way cheaper!
