Living photo:His name was Chico. Bought his head skin from Minotaur-Queen. He's drying right now. First time I ever worked with a wet-tan. I found it so much easier then dry ones.. I didn't have to fight with his hide at all. Easiest I ever worked with. He's got such lovely coloration. Will be just a hollow display mask.Β

This is so sad, I mean I respect you for it but just the cycle of life is UNFAIR... I HATE LIFE! My horse is 28 but VERY MUCH SO rideable, we are retiring him this summer and I'm working on getting into the competitive roping world; my dad rode with the charros so he's helping me! I am excited because we have heffers and two bull calves and a heffer calf to practice on.Β

Did you remove the eyeballs yourself? Or was that how he came to you? And what's the story behind him? Did his owner want him taxidermed when he died? (so many questions sorry XD)

I'm not sure if it's the lighting or the angle of the photo, but it would appear that in life, his cheeks bones were wider than you have made them currently

They probably could've been more defined. Unfortunately I didn't have all my good supplies with me at hand. He's just stuffed Β with cardboard and wrapping paper XD.Β

At first, when I saw this in my watch list I thought: "eek! Someone posted a severed horse head!" I read the title, "ohhh, it's just a mask, it sure looks realis-*click*-OH it IS real! D:"
However, I know you'll take good care of him and can't wait to see him finished! For some reason I also find it hilarious that you propped him up with a Breyer Brahma Bull and another horse. xD But hey, make use of what's at hand!

XD Yeah I had barely any supplies. Forgot them all back in my other room. He's stuffed with some cardboard and wrapping paper and I used some sewing string to prop up his sagging head a bit better.. And breyer of course XD.Β

Nah he'll be hollow. He doesn't really need one XD. I checked him out today and man he's hard like a rock. Could use his head to wack somebody XD.

If the whack on the head wasn't enough to put them in the hospital...the fact that it was a horse-head would probably freak them out enough to send them to a psych ward.
