Drew this up over two months ago but didn't get around to color it till now. I hate coloring! The pali's colors were a bitch and some anatomy off probably.. Love it though..
I really enjoying drawing the animal since it's so..horselike.

Nice work on the pali. I finally saw Avatar in its entirety last Tuesday night, as there was a "movie madness" event at that time and they were screening the movie in a local park. Seeing it in a natural setting, surrounded by fragrant pine trees, seemed to add an extra dimension to the setting. Not a thing wrong with the conceptual design and SFX, what I didn't really care for was the psycho colonel who was little more than a live-action cartoon; I often had to retreat to the parking lot whenever he was on screen, to keep from laughing hysterically at the characterization. They could have done the antagonists a lot more subtly and it would have been better for it, IMO.

I htik the animals were suposed to be similiar to horses as they have helped us through so much in history. Maybe thats why the designers of the movie thought of them like this? Well done! this is an awesome picture of one of the palis!! just think how hard it would be to use six legs instead of four.... or even eight?

Direhorses are used as kinda like the calvary. They use them in battle kinda like how humans used to do...

yeah if anyone had suddenly six legs they would trip arse up... lol. but if you were born with them I guess you'd learn how to walk and run as to you it would be natural. imagine a human with six legs!!! *trips over laughing* LOL

When I first saw these in the movie (the close up shot of their legs) I thought they would have more feet like the sleipner, but my friend pointed out that all the animals except the navi have six limbs.
On the other hand...Awesome coloring

i hate coloring too!! it always messes it up. i also hate inking my penciled drawings. it looks so much better with all the construcon lines showing!
