No problem. I like that work of art.
Have you read any good Jane Austen stuff lately?

I love Sense and Sensibility, although I have to admit Emma's tongue gets her into trouble and I love the pairing of Lizzie and Mr. Darcy. Ooh, and don't forget Catherine Morland's overactive imagination!
I like Sense and Sensibility because I resemble Elinor Dashwood in terms of how we act and speak and because she's the most mature character.

wel northanger abbey is my faverite one, I think it that the charms of mr Tilney are overwelming, but there is nothing that beats the arrogance of mr Darcy, but I doubt wether these men really exists? they need to proof that (lol)

Well, I'm not sure Mr. Darcy actually exists, but I'd like a guy like that. That'd be nice. Mr. Darcy...in terms of handsomeness, I like Matthew MacFayden...

Some people think Colin Firth is the right Mr. Darcy... did you see the 1970's version of Pride and Prejudice? It retains all the dialogue...the dialogue's so sharp, you could cut yourself on it.
Scary.

Colin Firth is a perfect mr darcy, but he's so serius all the time, in Matthew MacFayeden eyes you can see the longing for Lizzie
I didn't see the 1970's version, but I'm thinking of buying it (just for completing my Jane Austen collection )
I only refuse to see the versions where the story is told in our time,I think it a raping of Jane Austens story's, but thats my personal opinion

I know, the versions where the story is told in modern times doesn't seem quite right--although that's not to say Clueless isn't great. In fact, Clueless, main character played by Alicia Silverstone, is a good movie, and very funny. It's a modern retelling of Emma.
The 1970's version has deadly dialogue (although that really depends if you're a sticker to the old times; BBC kind of dumbed down the dialogue as time went by. Here, in the 1970's adaptation, they keep all the original dialogue), although I still think the 2005 Pride and Prejudice is my favorite, partially because it's lighter (scenery and mood) and it's more frivolous.
Matthew MacFayden... He's the perfect Mr. Darcy without being so serious, like Colin Firth! (sigh)

I totally agree with you, of course these movies aren't clueless but I prefer the movies in there own time, and I prefer the pride and prejudice of 2005 as well, although colin firth has a place in my heart as well

Clueless was hilarious!!
"Daddy, can I go out tonight?"
"Put something on! That dress is way too skimpy!"
(Puts on a transparent shawl) "Okay, Daddy! Bye!'
"Wait--"

Colin Firth is a much more serious Mr. Darcy...

I do love the way he's always a correct english gentlemen, this is how I would imagine an englishman, stifly and addicted to etiquette. very clichΓ© way of thinking but...

But I kind of miss guys like Mr. Darcy, because they're so prim and proper and wouldn't even think about treating women disrespectfully (or maybe they do, but they don't do it). But then I'd miss the cursing allowed.
