Part 2 of the Epilogue to Blurred Memories
Part 1

The wait seemed like forever as the Minu and Chloe sat close to the shade of a tree, even though it was technically still in the middle of a quiet night, the shade was more comforting than whatever was below that lake.
Minu was drawing doodles on the grass and dirt and Chloe looked away and nod off from time to time.

“Hey, Chloe?”
“Hmm”
“It’s been a while, Is Floot really okay being out there?” Minu tilted his head as he continued his doodle, one of while looked like him and his two teammates giving each other high-fives.
“If he was able to keep me up in a fight and survive underwater, then just being there with other teams isn’t gonna give him a heart attack” Chloe remarked, continuing to look away from Minu
“I’m just worried. I still haven’t told him what it’s like to be an adventurer”
“Don’t get too sad, the dream realm might take advantage of that thought”
“Oh! Right! Blank. As. Possible.”
After that revelation, Minu put on his best impersonation of a lifeless statue, to which Chloe wasn’t amused by.
“Minu, you look like an idiot, just actually stay still”
“I’m just not letting whoever put this curse on us get my head again and mush it up!”
“Sure... perhaps staying ain’t such a bad option”.

In the midst of their conversation, the environment changed again, quietly opening up the rocks around the lake to a larger portion and some visible mountains in the background. Minu picks up on this after he finishes up his talk with Chloe.
“Oooooooo! Look at that!” Minu skipped ahead to see this large body of water, Chloe was shocked when she sees Minu close to its border.
“Minu! What are you doing?!”
“Woah... the colors, So pretty!”
Chloe was ready to save him from whatever was in that water, but strangely enough, the water behaved normally. It was no longer a solid and it shined as the moon from above gave the view its light.
Minu grabbed a stone a threw it across the water, it made one, two, three skips on the surface before breaking it and sinking to the bottom. Minu exclaimed in secret.
Chloe watched him as he was having fun, strange to see why even in a dire situation like this, Minu can still find a good time when it’s available. It might just be he’s oblivious, but it could also be because he’s built up like this.

Chloe shook her away from the thought before it fully formed, thinking of her again might again lead to trouble. Still she was curious, so she stood up and walked to Minu as he threw another stone, now making four skips instead of three.
“Hey, I got a Question”
“Sure, you can play skippies with me”
“Skippies? What is that?”
“Oh! It’s what’s I call skipping stones, My high-score of all time is 5 skips”
“Well... no, I’m not interested”
“Awwww... alright, it’s fun though”
“What I mean to ask is that, you’re suddenly calm, why is that?”
“Calm?”
“A while ago, you were worried about Floot, now you are near here playing skipping stones with yourself” Chloe points out the large landscape as the water slowly swayed back and forth.
“Oh” Minu put down the stone he was about to throw and turned towards Chloe.

“Well, it’s faint, but I feel calm around lakes like these, They remind me of the Lake Arimo”
“Lake Arimo huh”
“Yeah, It reminds me of playing skippies with the other Pokémon, we had competitions as to who can get the most skips! Dana was always on top though, her best was seven skips”
“So, I’m guessing those Pokémon you are talking about are your siblings”
“Now really? They do live with me, but we are all different Pokémon”
Chloe was shocked, “Hold on... you lived with other Pokémon? Like... under the same house?”
“Yep! We are like a big happy family~”

That, wasn’t the answer Chloe expected, with the way he talked about it, he sounds like he lived under an orphanage or something similar, she still decided to press on the topic further.
“Why do you say that you all are a big “happy” family” Chloe sarcastically emphasized the happy line to grab his attention.
“Yeah we are a family~ I even remember hearing those stories with them. We come together and listen to Mama Puff read one book or one chapter a night near a lantern”
“Who the heck is this Mama Puff?”
“EEEEEEEEEE!!!” Chloe thought for a moment she sent off a bomb as Minu got hyped to talk about this Pokémon
“Mama Puff is the SWEETEST POKÉMON EVER!!! She takes care of us, makes the food, the whipped cream cookies she makes are my favorite! She also heals us if we ever get hurt with her egg.”
“Soooo... She’s a guardian then”
“We just knew her as Mama Puff, but she is so sweet! We sometimes even help her with the chores in the place, we have to pay her!”
“Huh, so you care about her that much as well?”
“Yep! We all have a rule we made up to help each-other out, “Just like sticky jam, we must stick together!”
“Stick together... right...” Chloe bit her lip, she felt uncomfortable with that line in particular.
“I still follow that rule till now, where us as a team must stick together! Even Floot!”
Chloe stayed silent, he isn’t wrong, they were able to stay alive during these tasks thanks to each-other, she just wished she didn’t associate that line of thinking with her. “Yeah... sticking together does help us with the guild’s tasks”
“Yep! Soon we will achieve our dreams for real! And not in this weirdo dream place”

Minu threw the next stone across the water, when it made its fourth ripple, when it broke water, Minu felt a rush of pain in his head quickly, he fell to the ground near the water with fading vision and a fading mind.
“Minu!” Chloe went down to check on Minu when she too felt that rush of pain and fell backwards.
“chloe? why do i feel... so sleepy...”
“don’t worry, we should.. just. thi-...” Chloe closed her eyes before she could finish her sentence, she was asleep”
“c-chloe? wake. wake up pl- please...”

The two faded away into unconsciousness, before they could think about what happened, they both went to sleep and rested to what waited them.

Woah! Minu does have a backstory?! And its not sad!? Minu you precious bean.
