Description I was so pumped to get this up that I forgot to add speed lines before scanning. :I
So I added them, scanned and edited digitally again..
But then I noticed I forgot the sound effects as well!
So I added those, and scanned and edited.. AGAIN.

*sigh* That took quite some time.
But it was worth it. Man, I love this page. .u.

How do you do this? Do you draw and colour it on paper, then scan it? or do you scan bits of it and alter the layout, etc? It looks really good and I need help deciding on what my comic should look like, since Mission 3 will be my first.

I draw and colour on paper, then scan it. I spiff it up in PhotoShop (editing brightness & contrast) and add digital font in Paint.
I'm looking forward to seeing yours. ;D

I sketch using pencil, then do the lineart using fineliners. Then I erase the sketch so that only the lineart remains. Then colour.

Well, I just use coloured pencils and work with layers.
I'm not gonna give you a full description, though..

No, it doesn't. As far as I know, this is a technique used in manga and is not to make a creature seem as if it's got its eyes closed.
But maybe it just looks that way (to you). And maybe I'm wrong. I'm still practising, so I don't really care.
Sorry if I seem kinda agitated, I just don't like people thinking they know things so much better when in fact, they don't.
