Description
My rendition of the film Black Swan. ♥I shot this with both black and white backgrounds to embody the use of black and white in the movie. For the black background, I made her eyes red with PS to capture the parts of the movie where she is changing.
Model is Artemis Bare
Makeup and Styling by DDE Photography Design (that is body paint and liquid latex on her torso)

Do you completely white out the skin? Or is it photo manipulation to give it the pale effect?

She is body painted with a layer of white paint.

As an alternative, I also recommend white makeup powder (I used the Ben Nye brand). It works just as well if you put enough of it on and it's easier to remove.

Does it stay on fairly well? The major concern I have is that it is supposed to cover most of the body and for a few hours. I am positive touch ups would have to be made throughout the time, but the majority of it stay in tact.

Paint would work better if you're concerned about it staying on.
The powder is probably more likely to rub off over time.
Ben Nye is a good brand though and offers body paint.

when the photographer, artist and model have an understanding of the project and are 'in sync' which one another so to speak you get a phenomenal shot.. like this one... its beautiful.. I can almost hear swan lake playing in the background
