I thought of that as well, but Blossom is more hard-working like Applejack, while Buttercup is very proud of her fighting skills and shares a little of Rarity's vain-ess.. But it could be either way, I suppose.

Spice Girls was an all-girl pop group in the mid to late nineties; they were pretty much the most famous thing in the world at that time. Each of the girls had a nickname: there was Baby, Posh, Sporty, Ginger and Scary. The music is kind of bubblegum pop, but it's just great mindless fun, imo, don't take it too seriously. If you want to know more, Wikipedia and YouTube are your best bets.
