the art's gorgeous...but a bit too gorgeous to the point where i think they're just going to mainly focus on making the characters pretty, and just pretty. we're used to seeing usagi being a goofball and a major clutz all throughout the anime and if she's not going to emote that in crystal...it's just not going to have that charming and samey feeling anymore...i'm very excited, but also very concerned lmao

i get they were trying to follow the manga, and the manga has some gorg art but usagi is always Β expressionless. like i saw this post on tumblr comparing the expressions- usagi always looks like a princess in crystal, but in the original she had a lot of those wacky faces which everyone loved
well at least we know the animation will be better, the 90s anime had great animation but only for the tranformation/attacks .. half the show was recycled material though lol
